Oamaru’s Victorian Heritage Celebrations is a wonderful annual event celebrating the Victorian Heritage of Oamaru.

 

Every year Oamaru celebrates Victorian Heritage with a jammed packed programme full of comedy, ball dances, tales of the past, theatrical plays and games for all ages.

Come and join the Oamaru Victorian Celebrations where we celebrate all things Victorian. This year we are exploring the theme of Wheels; looking back into our local history of bicycles, motor vehicles, mills and much more.

The Oamaru Victorian Heritage Celebrations occur every year in early November. Locals and visitors enjoy a range of events throughout the week including historical talks, dances, garden party and penny farthing races.

Oamaru is full of grand Victorian architecture, traditional rural buildings and beautiful gardens making it the perfect location to explore the Victorian era and celebrate our ancestors.
